Yesterday on the 25th of May 2017 rooms 6,7,8 and 12 from Glen Innes School had a super ,fun and  educational day at Baradene College of the Sacred Heart.

At first we had to leave class at 9:45 during math time. The moment we left the gate we were excited and happy that we got chosen to go to the Science Expo at Baradene College of the Sacred Heart. While waiting to go, Mr.Ramkolowan took a count to make sure that we were all ready. Then there we went down the hill.As we were riding in the bus we were divided into 4 groups and I was in Mrs.Donaldson group. Soon we arrived at the school and we all had a feeling it was a private school and a catholic one too, so we had to be extra quiet. While walking pass we heard someone playing a flute. Then we came across the hall. We had to wait for 15 minutes. We got boared so we began to play some hand games with everyone in our little group.Thereafter this lady named Anna-Sophie  took us on a tour  through the college because we didn’t know where to go.Then we were able to go in the hall. While we walked in the hall we had to sit down on the chairs and listen up to the lady. She talked about ice goes to liquid and liquid goes to gas ,but she also talked to us about dry. Dry ice just goes to use and gas which skips liquid and also changes colour.

 In this photo she put in some dry ice and some hint of dish-washing detergent. Well any way we manage to have a great time trying out the new projects that some students created. My favorite was this one . It was my favorite because it was more different than the others and it was also fun.

When we returned to school I was exhausted, but happy because it was fun and educational.

Why is sharing and caring good.It is known as good because you make fantastic friends ,helpful neighbors and also educational teachers by sharing.Sharing is one of the top lessons everybody should know.Most people know the definition and action.As most people say “Sharing Is Caring.’’You may think Sharing is stupid ,but it is not, toddlers and little kids may follow the actions you do.Well sharing is the best way to be to your friends ,neighbors , pets ,teachers and also family,and people may also say “ great satisfaction comes from sharing with others”.   

My Dad Is My Hero

My dad is my hero because he is hardworking.I really really look up to him to be hardworking too ,just like him.In the afternoon he feels and looks exhausted ,but he still cooks for me. I love my dad

Netball Coaching

In the course of this day we learnt some amazing tips about netball and we also had a great game with everybody. We also learnt about having fun and the importance of teamwork in netball .We learnt the following skills ,chest pass,overhead pass,bounce pass and shoulder pass.When it was time to play the game we were able to use those newly learnt skills. I'm not really good at Netball, but I'm hoping at the end of the term I would have learnt lots of skills that enable me to raise the standard of my game. I admire Maria Tutaia from the Silver Ferns because of the way she plays.

Title:Spending Quality time with my Family

Intro: In my terrific holiday I spent quality time with my family and it was very enjoyable.

Body: First thing we did was , clean up the house , then we got a reward saying that  we were going to the pools with our entire family. Later on we realized that we needed to leave early because we need to do a little bit of shopping. At 9.00 am we went to Pak’nSave and shopped for an hour for food. After that we went to CountDown . After that we also spending 2 hours at Countdown for food. finally got to go to the pools. “Yeah!” as we shouted on our way to the pools.As we entered the pools we looked at the entrance but it didn't look very creative but when we walked in it look like it was a clean and it was close to the size of a mansion. I was so excited to jump into the sparkly water and it felt like a relaxing spa.During the day we bought some tubes to relax in.After play volley more people were wanting to join in the pools.Well play there was such a long line of people  ,that's when we realized the pool was become full.Meanwhile we were called together to eat lunch.For lunch we had sandwiches,chips, cookies and also mini cocktails.Just then we finished our lunch and we had to wait out for 10 minutes.While waiting we found some enjoyable ,relaxing chairs.10 minutes later my auntie allowed us to go back in the pools.Before getting back in we bombed and dived 1 by 1 in the cold pool.It was also a thrill ride coming down an extended long slide.After coming down the long slide it was also time to go home.So we got changed bought drinks and ordered dinner and ate on top of Mount Wellington .After eating we rest our stomach a bit ,then rolled down Mount Wellington.

Conclusion:In conclusion I realized I had a great ,awesome,fun and exciting day with my lovely family, and that was known as the best day of my entire holiday.

The Lion and the Mouse

The Lion and the Mouse

One hot steamy day there was a lion sleeping in this large and dark cave.As he was sleeping he felt a tiny little mice running up his nose a catched it with this paw.”Aha got you now?”answered the huge lion.”Oh please great lion please let me go ,and when you are in trouble I will help you”replied the tiny little mouse.Meanwhile the lion laugh “You help me there is no possible way you can help me”  as he laughed twice.Anyway you made me laugh and you are too small to eat so I will let you go. “Oh thank you great lion”.The next morning the mouse heard the lion roaring so he speed all the way to the jungle.The mouse said calmly “you must be quiet if the hunters hear you they will kill you” .“Okay said the lion”.So the mouse nibbled through the net and free the lion.”Thank you so much I will never laugh at you ever again”answered the huge lion.

The Deer and the Crocodile

Introduction:Far far away in the forest there lived a deer who was really wanting to cross the river ,but he noticed the it was to deep.

Body: “Hello there”,said the deer to the crocodile. “Well hello there too” replied the crocodile.The deer stopped for a second and said “:do you have a family.”Yes I do” said the crocodile as he was coming closer to the deer.”Well my family is bigger “,said the  deer. “No my family is bigger.”As they were accepting that their family is bigger they started arguing over and over about the same thing until,the crocodile had enough. “Fine then I will bring my family”,snapped the crocodile.As the deer was waiting patiently he saw the crocodile's family coming.”Okay line up”.When the deer was on them he counted loudly “1 2 3 4” and he was on the other side.

Conclusion: “Hahaha” as the he laughed and grinned on the other side.”Thank You crocodile and crocodiles family as he trotted away happily into the forest.  

Swimming Sports

Introduction:After we finished our swimming practice we had our annual swimming sports on Friday the 24th of March 2017.It was absolutely nervous and exciting for all of the seniors because they wanted to make their family and parents proud.

Middle:At first we had to eat at 9:50 because our swimming sports started at 10:00.Therefore we had ten minutes to play.Then the bell rang and most of us were nervous because we had a of spectators.After that all of us headed our way to the entrance of the pool.As we entered the pool area ,we noticed it was packed.We were squeezing through everywhere until we got our spots.Meanwhile we all settled down and breaststroke was the first item and Limi came first.The next event was freestyle and it was very difficult to tell who came first because people were cheating.In my race I came 3rd ,but most people's opinion was that I came 2nd because someone cheated.Anyway it was now backstroke.Then after that it was relays. Our class came first place and our lunch was nearly done.It wasn’t ready yet so Mr Hendricks gave us a challenge.We had to glide the entire length without breathing and showing any body parts.As we were waiting Hunter made it ,but his leg popped up at the beginning therefore Limi was the real winner.Following on our lunch was made.Before we left the pool Mr Hendricks picked out some kids and told them that they are  going “Inter-schools” .Following that we had our lunch.It was delicious and delightful.Everyone felt super happy beside Temu because he had nothing to eat .Mr Naidoo felt sorry for Temu and he gave him a sausage.After that we went back to the pool area and packed up all the chairs.Later on we finished  and went back to class.Thereafter we packed up and went home.

Conclusion:When I returned home I was very exhausted ,but happy too because it was very very fun and I felt that I did my parents proud with my swimming skills.
