1.What helped you to get you here in life?

Activity #2
On your blog, tell us weather, or not, you believe that taniwha exists. Be sure to explain why you feel this way:
In my opinion I believe that there are taniwhas around. People maybe not believe, but I do based on peoples stories. History is known because stories are carried within generations, just like Matariki. Matariki was also passed down as a story from our ancestors, so what makes a taniwha not exists.

Activity #3On your blog, write a poem that describes feelings about traveling to Beijing, China

China is known to be a beautiful present
with a unique bow on top
China is bound to know
its appealing qualities
China is like a spoonful
of energy cornflakes in the morning

  1. Kia ora Mafi,

My name is Hazel, and I am part of the Summer Learning Journey (SLJ) team. Congratulations on completing all of the SLJ activities; I can tell that you put a lot of time and effort into your posts - ka pai!

I liked your list of questions for Dame Susie Moncrieff. I especially liked that you had made them mostly open-ended questions, which means that you would get a lot of information back in your answers. Have you ever tried making anything from recycled materials? How did it turn out?

I think it's great when stories are passed down through the generations, like the tales of taniwha. What are some of the stories that have been passed down through your family?

Your poem about China was very beautiful; I enjoyed all of the figurative language that you used.

I hope that you have enjoyed taking part in the SLJ, and enjoy the rest of your school holidays!

    Hazel :)
