Today is my 2nd time returning to holiday program which in this case Summer Learning Journey this holiday. Basically today I will write 3 facts today about a well known Maori legend (Maui).
1. It is known that Maui was a great Maori legend who caught the biggest fish, in his island and blew the people of his village(Hawaiki) away.
2.His brothers underestimated him and saying mean comments that he didn't enjoy. They also made terrible excuses so Maui didn't get a chance to come fishing.
3. Maui after the biggest fish he catch, he and everybody else was so proud, and happy. His said that their grandmother (Murirangawhenua), gave the fish as a gift. Also known as a fact they named the North Island after the biggest fish he fished( Te Ika A Maui, then the South Island was named after his ceone ( Te Wai Pounamu).
