SLJ Week 3, Day 1 #Activities 1,2,3 (2018-2019)

Activity #1
On your blog, tell us what time of the year you think is best for the tourist to come and visit. Be sure to share at least three things tourist would do while they were here in New Zealand.

I think it best to come in Summer, because our country is surrounded with nature -Water and Trees). New Zealand gets very dry and hot, so it's best to chill in water. I suggest going to beautiful beaches and eating hot fish and chips, after. You could go to Bay of Islands and try there waves for surfing, swimming or sailing. I have tried sailing and I recommend it, it is really a great fun. Go hiking, and look down beautiful view. You could visit Rangitoto, then visit it beautiful water.

Activity #2
On your blog, list 5 different things that we can do to protect ourselves from the sun this summer.

1.Sunscreen
2.Hat that will cover your ears
3.Sunglasses
4. Stay hydrated

SLJ Week 2, Day 5 #Activities 1,2,3 (2018-2019)

Activity #1
On your blog, tell us what you think about this rule and why you think it.
In my opinion I suppose there are 2 sides of the story. Firstly I believe that this should be allowed, because here in New Zealand we do have native fish. This topic is also like log hunting, how log hunting is hurting our native birds. Anyway we need to keep our native fish alive due to it being less popular, and it could attract tourist. On the other hand I find this fine idea not supported. People are fishermen doing their jobs trying to earn money for there families. How are fisherman suppose know how many fish to catch. I think the money fine is too high, lower it down to 15,000. Summarizing all up I suppose, yeah it's fair to pay the price, if they know they were overfishing, and lower the price.

Activity #2
On your blog tell us

1.The name of the rivers~ Waimakariri River, Waikato River
2.The locations of the rivers~ Canterbury, Waikato

In my opinion to help our polluted rivers its best to

Know what you put down the sink
DO NOT LITTER
Use less water, off taps if not used
Think twice about doing

Activity #3
On your blog, list 3 different ideas or strategies for fundraising to persevere the Great Barrier Reef. What could you do to fundraise here in New Zealand?

After traveling a long way from UK to Bali, this lady finds a remarkable view. Known as a allocentric type person she decides to stand on the edge to get a great view. The blue waters begin to react by rising, and the sun shining down from beneath the sky. A tourist is a person for all those beautiful views, around the country. Half of people watching ask her to be careful, where as the other half sk for the photo sent. She decides to take a photo of boats she will be riding in, she will be taking a beautiful cruise while looking at the sunsetting and moon rising. Compared to her taking a photo her, the citizens in the town are considered as little bugs, due to them having a lot of distance. I just believe that she is a woman after beautiful views in Bali. SLJ( Week 1 Day 5 Activity 3) 2018-2019

New Zealand is a fantastic unique place to come an visit ,you can see the sunset with beautiful colours to point where there is a bright sunset and the trees are a silhouette. New Zealand is one of the greenest of places you could ever image. In the morning open your curtains, "BAM"all you see is the fresh green things around you, also embrace fresh air while air. Over here in New Zealand there are appetizing foods you could eat such as a kiwi burger, or a hangi. There are some magnificent beaches and pools to go like, Piha beach and many more. One attractive thing I enjoy is the lights on Auckland Sky Tower. I used to do paper runs around the city and I always got to get a great witness of the Sky Tower changing beautiful bright colors

Dear Carmen trips come and go, but this is one to remember. When I visit Tundra the weather was excitedly very cold, but when I went to bed I had to use 3 thick blankets. The next day we went photo hunting, our image was a wild caribou, which we indeed kept our distance with. It was so unique and different, I was so astonished because it was my first time witnessing a caribou up close. The other tourist I was with we went river floating. The water was so pristen in all areas, and to be able to river floating in it was fantastic. While relaxing I got chills down my spine, I took a deep breath and realised that there was a cold frost air released from my mouth was so new. If I came again I will definitely will take you, to enjoy the chilly new vibes there.

SLJ( Week 1 Day 5 Activity 1) 2018-2019

What to do: On your blog tell us whether you think logging should be allowed in New Zealand. Be sure to provide at least two reasons to support your argument.

For the first reason I supposed logging should not be a "thing" in New Zealand, why because our country embraces nature very well, and tourist enjoy New Zealand nature. Also tourist come to New Zealand for our beautiful views sun setting to the huge pure nature trees. For the second reason trees are really important for our native animals such as a Red Crowned Parakeet. We have native birds that can fly such as the Red Crowned Parakeet, Tui's, Saddleback and many more. Have more consideration for our native New Zealand birds, who has no say. Think about this topic very hard because it doesn't take 5 minutes to decided, feel free to comment if you have any questions, or what you suppose should be done. Thanks

I would  build this in Auckland, New Zealand. I would ice for the furniture because here in New Zealand  it is hot, so it will come in handy. The salt for the bed because ice will be uncomfortable so will glass. I would build it in Auckland because Auckland has a lot of tourist, I think this will attract people because its a good use for Auckland and its unqiue.

SLJ( Week 1 Day 3 Activity 3) 2018-2019

What to do: Once you have watched the video, go to your blog and, using full sentences, tell us:

1) The name of the animal the WWF is working to save.

2) What the WWF is doing to help the animal.

3) What, If any, success they have had protecting the animal

The name of the animal they are trying to save are the saimaa ringed seal because they are nearly extinct in this entire world there are only about 360 left. By helping the animal they build snow banks for the seals to give birth in. If there were no snow banks then they would be given birth on the open ice giving them human disturbance, no protection from predators or the cold. They are succeeding on making snow banks, but they have to have a long term plan based on climate change, because with climate change it will melt the ice so there will be no protection for the animals.

TO EVERYBODY READING THIS: No matter where we are near or far help out. Let's work together to make our earth better, remember we can CHANGE we CHANGE we can CHANGE

SLJ( Week 1 Day 3 Activity 2) 2018-2019

What to do: On your blog list three pros (good things) and three cons (bad things) about working as a DOC ranger. At the bottom of your post, tell us whether you would like to be a DOC Ranger or not.

Good Things~

-You can be a great person and look after the nearly endangered species
-Have the experience and also learned things you didn't know about
-Live with a few people on a island which is good, because I love being independent

Bad Thing~

-You might feel homesick and miss your family
-You might have a dangerous bond with them and they might attack you
-You will never get the chance to sit and relax since you are living there to help the creatures.

I would not like to be a DOC ranger, because I get homesick and I will miss my family. I would do also be a part time because I would love to take an opportunity to visit a nearly endangered animal, it would be huge.
