He won Victoria Cross twice. He earned his first VC in Crete in May 1941. He is one of the 3 people to get the VC twice. Made a lot of tries to escape including audacious (Bold Risks) to escape. He obtained his first medal in May 1941 and his second gold medal in July 1942.

Great work! You are spot with this activity! That’s amazing he was awarded two Victorian crosses, his family would have be so proud and honoured.
I’m curious, what is something that you are proud of that you have achieved? Maybe a sports award or a certificate for completing something?

I have gotten a trophy for winning middle school speeches, for prize giving. My family, teacher, friends and I were proud.
